SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY FOR MASTERS DEGREE:
Our grant is helping the Institute for Teacher Education at UHM offer the online post baccalaureate teacher certificate in math and science. The first cohort will start in January 2009.
The grant offers a $9000 scholarship that covers almost 90% of estimated tuition.
This is especially useful to teachers in the field who need certification and have not pursued it for financial or logistical reasons.
The application deadline to the program is September 1. PRAXIS I and PRAXIS II (Content) are entry requirements and the scores need to be with COE on or around the deadline.
So realistically, interested candidates need to schedule the PRAXIS almost immediately.
